The Intelix MZP Multi-zone Paging and Program
Distribution System is dedicated to total audio management in multi-zone
facilities. This means that MZP is the single-box solution for your
facility's paging, mic/line mixing, and background music needs.
The MZP system combines a sophisticated, ethernet-enabled matrix
mixer with durable remote controls and intuitive design, programming,
and control software. Because the MZP matrix truly mixes levels at each
crosspoint rather than just switching crosspoints on and off, the MZP
automatically ducks program material during a page and then smoothly
ramps the music back to its original level when the page is complete.
Design with Intelix and design with intelligence.
Comet series remotes. Contractors
build program selection and paging stations using Intelix's modular
remote controls. Each remote's exact function is assigned via MZP
Designer software.
Automatic program ducking and ramping
during page. Because Intelix matrix products truly "mix"
levels at each crosspoint rather than just "switch" crosspoints
on and off, the MZP automatically ducks program material during
a page, then smoothly ramps the music back to original levels when
the page is complete.
Integrated audio distribution
and zone paging.The MZP system combines VCA matrix mixer,
setup and control software, and programmable Comet remotes
to handle a wide variety of audio distribution and zone paging applications.
Battery
backup. All response curves, presets, and
current audio matrix values are stored internally in battery-backed
nonvolatile RAM. Even in the event of a power failure, the matrix
mixer saves its settings, ramping all levels back to their previous
values five seconds after power restoration.
Connectivity.
Every MZP Series matrix facilitates serial communication via RS232,
TCP/IP LAN, and the internet. Front and rear panel RS232 communication
ports allow quick onsite diagnostics, and an optional PCMCIA Logic Card
allows up to eight contact closure inputs with eight output indicators.
Contol.
Free MZP Designer Software allows you to monitor, control, and
troubleshoot an entire MZP room combine system from any remote location
with an internet connection. Included real-time event scheduling
software allows you to program repetitive or unique audio activities in
a simple platform closely resembling standard PDA scheduling software.
Security.
To ensure only legitimate users connect to and control the MZP matrix,
MZP Designer Software includes an authorized client list providing
internal firewall protection from unauthorized ethernet connections.

Factory-Installed Mic/Line Preamplifiction CardThe
Intelix factory-installed Mic/Line Card provides
+15V phantom power and up to 60 dB of gain for eight
MZP matrix audio input channels (specify one Mic/Line
Card per every eight inputs which require preamplification).
PSM-8The
Intelix PSM-8 Paging Station Microphone is a programmable
remote paging station with eight customizable touch-button
controls for selecting which zone(s) a page will
be routed to. The PSM-8 is available with a gooseneck
microphone (PSM-8) or as only a base (PSM-8-base).
Comet
RemotesIntelix
offers individual Comet remotes for source selection
and volume control, allowing you to customize the
end-user's remote controls based on the application
requirements. All Comets are single wall box mountable,
feature RJ12 connectors for wiring, and are available
in either decora style (decora mount-ready) or panel
style (custom panel mount-ready).
DTMF
Phone Interfacing ModuleThe
Intelix Comet-DTMF module provides a diagnostic
remote interface between PBX and standard analog
phone systems, allowing touchtone phones to control
and page into the MZP system.
Comet
Bridge AdaptorIntelix
Comet-BA4 and Comet-BA11 bridge adaptors simplify
Comet remote wiring while providing a diagnostic
interface should problems arise. The Comet-BA4 distributes
one RJ45 input to four RJ45 outputs, while the Comet-BA11
distributes one input to eleven outputs.
Logic
I/O CardThe
Intelix PCMCIA Logic I/O Card provides the MZP matrix
with eight contact closure logic inputs and eight
logic outputs.
Factory
ConfigurationIntelix
Factory Configuration is a practical and affordable
option which ensures every MZP installation proceeds
quickly and smoothly. Specifically, Intelix will
optimize your MZP designer software file, program
and load the program file onto the MZP matrix mixer,
test the entire package to ensure proper operation,
generate wiring and product reports, and provide
technical support on a priority basis for two years
from the date of purchase. Factory configuration
is required on all opening MZP matrix orders unless
prior Intelix training has been completed.

MZP Designer Software is a unique, all-inclusive
platform designed for the system designer, programmer,
installer, and end-user. MZP Designer Software is
included free with every MZP matrix purchase.

Programming SoftwareIntelix
InteliTool Software
generates RS232 strings for quick and easy programming.
By stepping through a series of simple menus, the
programmer can progressively define specific functions
and the Programmer’s InteliTool will generate
a control string which can be copied for placement
in the control program.

sources/destinations populate two inputs/outputs.
Round the number of the audio inputs
to the nearest derivative of eight and place them within Intelix's
part numbering system.
