Intelix AVM Series Matrix Audio
Mixer/Video Switcher
The Intelix AVM is the single-box solution for all
your audio-visual system needs. Designed for flexibility, the AVM
seamlessly routes any combination of audio and video sources. This means
AVM splits and individually routes the audio and video from single
audio/video devices, such as DVD players and VCRs.
Designed for the highest possible audio performance, AVM features
crosspoint matrix mixing and eight channels of included microphone
preamplification. Let audio lead video with AVM.
Software
setup and control. Setting up all audio/video virtual groupings,
stereo pairs, matrix configuration settings, and presets is a breeze
using AVM Designer software. Route A/V groups with one command.
The AVM also offers "break away" audio routing so you
can mix additional audio channels--mic or line level--independent
of other sources.
Mic preamps included. Every AVM
ships with 8 mic/line inputs, and more are available via the optional
Mic/Line Card. The preamps are supported in AVM Designer software
for easy setup and control.
Battery backup.All response
curves, presets, and current audio matrix values are stored internally
in battery-backed nonvolatile RAM. Even in the event of a power
failure, the matrix mixer saves its settings, ramping all levels
back to their previous values five seconds after power restoration.
250MHz
video bandwidth. A wide bandwidth allows for multi-format
video compatibility, including Composite, Y/C, RGB, RGBS, and RGBHV
sources.
Audio crossfade/video switching.Create seamless transitions between grouped A/V sources. VCA's at
each crosspoint smoothly crossfade audio while vertical interval
switching assures precise transitions of Genlocked video sources.

Software is a unique, all-inclusive platform
designed for the system designer, programmer, and
installer. AVM Designer Software is included free
with every AVM matrix purchase.
InteliTool
Programming SoftwareIntelix
InteliTool Software
generates RS232 strings for quick and easy programming.
By stepping through a series of simple menus, the
programmer can progressively define specific functions
and the Programmer’s InteliTool will generate
a control string which can be copied for placement
in the control program.
Intelix
AVM Designer Software is a unique, all-inclusive platform
designed for the system designer, programmer, and installer.
Even the most complex audio and video routing tasks are simplified
through intuitive, user-friendly software screens.
AVM Designer Software contains all the embedded complex
logic for configuring audio crosspoint levels, switching video,
splitting single-device audio/video signals, programming up to 64 user
presets, and user control assignments. With the addition of an Intelix
ethernet adaptor, AVM provides live control, monitoring, diagnostics,
and trouble-shooting from anywhere with an internet connection...and
the software 100% free.
The easiest way to prepare an AVM matrix purchase order
is to let the AVM Designer Software prepare the document for you. Every
time you design a system using Intelix Designer Software, a complete
parts list and wiring report is automatically generated, ensuring
nothing is overlooked.
Specify the AVM Series Matrix
Determine the required amount of
audio inputs and outputs. Keep in mind that stereo
sources/destinations populate two inputs/outputs.
Round the number of the audio inputs
to the nearest derivative of eight and place them within Intelix's
part numbering system.
Determine the quantity and format of
video sources and destinations.
Based on these numbers, determine the
total amount of physical BNC connectors which are required and
reference Intelix's part numbering system.
Specify Control
Determine if control over ethernet is
required.
If required, specify one
Ethernet Adaptor.
Specify Enhancement Components
Determine if audio preamplification
or phantom power is required.
If required for more than eight
audio channels, specify one Mic/Line Card for every
additional eight channels.
Regardless of how you assemble your purchase order,
remember that each system sale is personally handled by an Intelix
Application Engineer who ensures your AVM order is complete and correct.

AVM System Drawing
The pictured AVM Series
system depicts an AVM8L8L-8C matrix routing the audio from
three microphones, video from a PC, as well as the audio and video
from a DVD player and a VCR, to two projectors, three in-room
speakers, and an audio recorder. Audio is preamplified with an
included Intelix Mic/Line Card. The AVM matrix is controlled
by an RS232 touch panel.
