Engineering Notice

An issue was discovered within Intelix DIGI-HD-COAX extenders which affects the performance of multi-channel audio distribution and audio/video receivers connected to DIGI-HD-COAX receivers. Due to a hardware defect, the DIGI-HD-COAX does not decode and process 5.1 or 7.1 audio correctly--audio will pass through the device; however, it will not be routed to the proper channel.

PCM 48 kHz stereo audio applications, all video applications, and most other use patterns are unaffected.

All units shipped from Intelix between October 2010 and July 2011 are affected.

If necessary, please contact your local Intelix sales representative or supplier for service, support, and return details.

Note: In some rare instances, source equipment and display equipment will not HDCP handshake when routing through an audio/video receiver and over the DIGI-HD-COAX. Intelix recommends testing all equipment prior to installation and/or consulting Intelix engineering for application guidance.
