VideoRay Flies Underwater with Intelix

VideoRay ROVMiddleton, WI- Intelix  products can be found just about anywhere: secured to tabletops, installed in walls, mounted in racks, or even flying a thousand feet underwater.

VideoRay’s Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are sent where it’s difficult or impossible to send a human diver. Their gear has been used to dive on the USS Arizona and in the recently impacted Gulf of Mexico ecosystem, and it’s vital for day-to-day operations for law enforcement, first responders, treasure hunters, film makers, and wreck surveyors. Because accuracy and clarity are paramount for VideoRay’s customers, they rely on Intelix for video distribution.

“We tested many video balun systems and the Intelix solution always gave us better picture quality – especially over long runs,” explains Marcus Kolb, Director of Research and Development for VideoRay.

VideoRay has been making underwater remote controlled submersibles for over 10 years, and Intelix twisted pair extender technology has proven crucial for transmitting video from an underwater camera mounted inside the ROV, through a 1,000 foot tether, and into a topside recording and monitoring system.

Mounted Extender“Our partners prove the quality and reliability of our products time and time again,” explains Cameron Smith, Intelix National Sales and Marketing Manager. “Whether your checking your flight status at an airport, enjoying an HD movie with your family at home, or investigating hull damage on a cargo freighter, our technology is there for you.”

Further information on VideoRay’s products and innovative solutions is available online at www.videoray.com.

Intelix offers the broadest line of audio/video over twisted pair extenders in the professional AV marketplace, including solutions for multiple formats of audio and video, VGA, DVI, HDMI, USB, and PS2. In addition to extenders, Intelix manufactures an extensive line of distribution amplifiers, scalers, converters, matrix switchers, room-combiners, and multi-zone paging systems. Complete product information is available from the Intelix web site, www.intelix.com, or by calling 866-4-MATMIX.
