Intelix
was founded in 1986 in Madison, Wisconsin. It began as an
engineering and design company for exclusive OEM merchandise.
Entrepreneured by a small team of recording engineers, audio
contractors, and salespeople, Intelix soon developed its own
strong line of VCA-based mic/line and matrix mixers.
Current C.E.O. and co-founder Steve Cohan is an
experienced professional audio industry veteran, with involvement in
contracting, recording, public address, theater, and cassette
manufacturing / duplication. He served as a consultant for the US
Department of Defense at the International Summit of Industrial Nations,
the AES SC10-02 Standards Committee, and the XVII Winter Olympics in
Lillehammer, Norway.
Current C.T.O. and co-founder Mike Konkle has been with
the company since inception and has since overseen all technical aspects
of Intelix product design and development. Mike has more than 40 years
of experience in audio electronics, as a systems contractor, installer,
project manager, and electronic design consultant. He served on the
State of Wisconsin Technical Advisory Board and was the Chair of the AES
SC10-02 Working Group for Networked Audio Control Protocols.
Intelix first, self-titled product was the VC Series mic/line
mixer, which was released in 1995. Since then, Intelix has grown quickly
and added several other mic/line, matrix, and audio/video over Cat 5
products.
Intelix product lines are available via a sales network
of more than 200 domestic and international distribution points.
Intelix mixers are installed in a blue chip list of
facilities that includes the Rose Bowl, NASA Mission Control, Marriott
Conference Centers, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, The House of Blues, the
Dow Jones building, Disney World, and Universal Studios.
